Ten-Minute Makeup in Five Easy Steps


Here's the proof! I don't have perfect skin. I have discoloration, dark spots, and the occasional monster zit (thanks a lot, hormones). You know what else I don't have? An hour every morning to do my makeup. When I'm pressed for time or just want a minimal look for running errands or going to the gym, I follow these 5 simple steps which take me no more than 10 minutes:

1. After I wash and moisturize my face, I apply a BB or CC cream with a damp beauty sponge. Here, I applied one light layer of IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC Cream in Light. You can see just one layer offers amazing coverage and gives the skin a healthy glow.

2. Next, I run a tinted brow gel through my brows to give them more body. Here, I used Benefit's Gimme Brow in Medium.

3. Then, I curl my lashes and apply mascara. This step helps open up the eyes and make you look more awake. I used Rimmel Lash Accelerator in Extreme Black.

4. Next, I go in with blush. My go-to is Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush in Luminoso, a light peachy shade that gives a nice natural flush to the cheeks.

5. Lastly, I apply a clear or light pink gloss to my lips. I find that a gloss makes me look fresh and youthful. If you have thin lips, a gloss will also make your lips appear fuller. I'm currently loving bareMinerals Marvelous Moxie Lipgloss in Rebel, a pink mauve shade.
