December Beauty Favorites

I was loving these products in December and I'm still loving them now, a week and one day into the new year. I reach for most of these products every single day, so you know they're good! Continue reading to find out why I couldn't leave them behind in 2015.

1. Limelight Skin Polish with Lemon and Jojoba Beads, $34

Every time I use this face mask, it feels like I'm slathering lemon cream pie all over my face, and I mean that in the best way possible. Not only does the mask contain jojoba beads which gently exfoliate, sloughing off impurities and dead skin, but it's also enriched with oils derived from apricot, lemon and olives, which work together to smooth, brighten, and hydrate. I love how this mask leaves my skin feeling super soft and smooth, plus I'm obsessed with how rich and decadent it feels and smells.

2.  Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder, $37

If you're in the market for a loose, colorless setting powder, I highly recommend this one. Said to contain French "cashmere talc," its non-drying formula creates a velvety smooth finish that looks flattering on all skin tones. I personally love it for setting my undereye area because it's finely milled, lightweight, and has a light-reflecting property, so when paired with a color correcting and/or brightening concealer, it'll help cancel out any dark circles you may have.

3. L'Oreal Paris True Match Blush in "Barely Blushing," $10.99

This is a great everyday blush for warm skin tones (if you have more yellowish undertones in your skin). It's lightweight, highly blendable, and not too powdery, meaning it deposits just the right amount of pigmentation so you don't have to worry about applying too much and looking like a clown. L'Oreal has a pretty wide color range, so no worries if you're more neutral or cool; simply look for one labeled "N" or "C," respectively.

4. Ardell 110 Natural Lashes, $7.86 (4 pack)

For an everyday lash, I prefer something that's going to give me just a little more length and fullness. I also like something only slightly wispy, meaning not so dramatic that my lashes are flirting with my brows. These drugstore lashes check all of those boxes and then some. They're delicate, lightweight, and comfortable to wear, but they also really make a difference when it comes to opening up the eyes and making you look more awake.

5. Royal and Langnickel [R]evolution Angle Kabuki Brush, $19.99

Royal & Langnickel is a renowned manufacturer of high quality art brushes, so it's no surprise they got it right with their makeup brush line. I've been reaching a lot for this one in particular to apply my blush and contour powders. The angled brush head fits perfectly into the hollows right beneath the cheeks and the short, dense bristles allow you to pick up product with ease and deposit with precision.

What must-have products did you carry into the new year?
