Grunge Glam Makeup

One of the many reasons I love makeup is because it has the amazing ability to evoke a mood. The mood I wanted to create with this look was "grunge" – dark, moody, lovesick. To recreate it, you can use any combination of dark shadows, but as far as technique, the key is to blend and smudge away harsh lines to achieve that blown-out, smoky effect. If we're staying true to the grunge movement, it's only right to break the rules a little bit, right? So don't worry about staying in the lines; drag your crease shadow out towards the temple, down past the lower lash line and beyond the tear duct until you hit the nose. Feel free to get a little sludgy with it because grunge is by no means supposed to be perfect. Continue reading for the list of products I used to create this look!
